Ace is not even 3 years old. Neutered male, on quality dog food.
This is the third time he is limping a little. First vet said it is
nothing and will go away.
A week ago started limping slightly again and didn't put his first right paw down. It always happens after rest. Walking, playing after a few minutes seem to be fine. My vet did physical exam , blood and urine tests and X-rays . Everything seemed to be fine. Later two vets examined the magnified X-ray and I was told there is a small calcification and swelling on the right shoulder on the hemura. He got Rimadyl for ten days, after the second day he is still not better.
Does anybody had the same experience before?
What should I do? Thx.

WE'VE ALWAYS HAD BEAGLES. JUST ADOPTED 3 BEAGLE PUPPIES (now 10 weeks). Are currently on NutraMax natural puppy dry food. They like it, will eat anything (as you know). Feeding 3/4 cup total (each) 3-4 feedings a day. Lots of poops! Wondering if I can add chicken (boiled, shredded, add green beans, carrots....maybe white or brown rice) about 1 tbs. per meal?
Do you use Blue Diamond foods (recommended to me)?

I am buying a 6 week old Beagle Mix Jack Russell next Wednesday and I have some questions, I have 2 other dogs at home and I know that they will get along with each other.. I know that Beagles love to howl so I am sure that this puppy is going to howl, and case he is mixed with a Jack Russell he is going to be jumping around.. I live with my Mom and I don't have a job right now so I will have a lot of time to train the puppy, the reason why we are getting a puppy is because my oldest Dog Sox who is 9 he is a Boxer Mix is not going to live much longer and my 5 yr old Choclate Lab will be lonely..

I can answer any questions I am going to post pictures of the puppy when we get him next Wednesday.. And this is my first time having breeding a Beagle..

Our 10-month old beagle, Arya, loves to take rolled up (clean) socks and items similar to socks, such as gloves, knit hats and chew on them until they are soaked. She just discovered that I knit and now all my projects are in snap-lid boxes because a skein of yarn seems to be similar to a rolled up sock. She also chews on her stuffed toys until they are in pieces, even though I took the squeakers out. This morning after I took a sock away from her she started chewing on her blanket. A light bulb went off over my head and I made a little pillow from polar fleece that is the same size and shape as a rolled up sock and now she chews happily on this. Is this a puppy/beagle specific behavior? We've had beagle mixes before that were more interested in chewing their rawhides. She will chew a rawhide for five minutes and then will go looking for a sock or ball of yarn. All thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated.

I adpoted a 2 year old beagle boston mix a month ago. He is very smart. Ive been trying to work with him on a 30 ft leash and practicing recall. He seems to get it on a leash and in the back yard. However as soon as i take him off the leash he takes off and doesnt listen to recall comands. Is there any advice you can give to help me with this. I want to be able to have him free at the park and play with the other dogs and at my barn but i dont want to run the risk that he runs off. HELP
