Reply no post? two shih tzu are 12 and 10,weigh same as ages. No meds/ supplements. No ability to post pictures. Guess started about 8 mo ago when older dog got very sick. Red blood count low & almost lost her. Skin, gums, & tongue almost white. Vet put on steroids & other meds. During this timeas I walked the dogs I found a couple small ticks on the younger dog.Relates to their current issue? Past 6 mo they keep getting small scabby patches. I gently scrape & they come off with the surrounding hair. Taken to the vet 3 x & given med shampoo, last time also gave me antibiotics.Did a skin scrape test & told neg for mites & mange.Reading found negative results don't always= nothing. A few days ago I called again when there was a patch about the size of a quarter on my older dogs tummy. The vet suggested I go for allergy testing$$. Today I noticed the younger dog has a bunch on her neck. Neither dog scratches/chews on affected areas. Concerned about doing any dips, etc incase they lick

The blue ridge mts are great , we often drive up to Gatlinburg TN. for Christmas and love it. The only thing you need to be careful about is ice on roads. I have only had this problem a couple of times on the Blue ridge parkway and also going over the mountain from Cherokee NC. to Gatlinburg TN. It is a beautiful drive in summer or winter.

Hi and thanks for the welcome ! I see you're from the GA mountains, I've always wanted to visit down your way, pictures I've seen looks like beutiful country. Wife and I are thinking about taking a vacation to see the Blued Ridge Mtns later this year.
