New to Beagles

Hi. I just adopted a 3-yr old Beagle/Basset mix named Cooper. He was pulled from a kill-shelter in OH and brought to a shelter in NY. Since Dec, I'm his 4th owner. He is the sweetest dog...great with kids, people and dog-friendly. Not sure why he was returned so many times. This is my first time owning a beagle. I'm used to large dogs. So glad I adopted him...
