My boyfriend got a beagle puppy from a breeder (AKC registered) in Sacramento CA.
When he brought "Bubba" home he would play with him but at times "Bubba" would
get aggressive with my boyfriend. He has gotten aggressive with me as well and with
me not knowing this breed's temper I do not know what to do. We show and breed
Bernese Mountain Dogs so the tempers are WAYYYY different. I have tried every
trick I know in the book for my breed and none are working. Bubba will show teeth
and growl at you and will act like he is going to attack you.

What can we do to get "Bubba" to stop doing this?
I also have a 6yr old (Nicole) who doesn't know how to react to "Bubba" biting him this way.

Please help!

Will need a little more information on Bubba.

Are there any other dogs around when Bubba acts aggressive?

Where does Bubba sleep?

Who feeds Bubba?

Is aggression food related?

What is his age?

Was he like this from the start?

Any thoughts on what may precede an aggressive event?

I am trying to get a general idea of when this aggression may show itself and under what conditions Bubba is calm and happy.
