I'm wondering if there specific tests for allergies in dogs?

O guess I would be more at peace if I'm sure that my Hanna is not allergic to anything.

Yes they can do things like that but there really isn't a need to unless there is a specific problem with the dog.

If your dog has a genetic history of getting allergy reactions to certain types of allergens--from food or the environment--there might be some possibilities there.

Better prepared than be sorry. I had a dog which had allergies to certain food, and it was good I was able to bring it to my vet's attention so I was able to have medications for it at the early stage.

My dog has allergies to some protein in food particularly those from sea food, so I have to read the contents of dog food to be sure it does not contain seafood such as shrimps.

But it was quite a while before the culprit was pinpointed and my dog had to go through a period of
misery =(
