at wits end

Hello, first time posting and a member for about 5 minutes. here is my tale. Got a beagle pup for xmas last year. at that time i was laid off so spent a lot of time with him (Zeke) training went very well. now the fun starts found a guy to run zeke with his dogs and after a few times he offered me one of his started puppies about 14 mo. old. I seen this pup run rabbits on many occasions. now that hunting season is here all he wants to do is run, passing up all possible rabbit hiding areas. I've tried what i know short of an E-collar. Any suggestions would be great.
