Does anyone out there have a beagle that enjoys their baths?

We have to order Hunter in, and the whole time he stares at whoever is giving him the bath like they just killed his best friend. If you turn your back for a second, he jumps out and you have to order him back in. (He's obedient, but likes the loopholes!)

And Sierra. Well, even having a bath at least every two weeks, she still fights me! I have to keep one hand on her the whole time or she tries to jump out. Will this just get easier with time?

Does anyone have any advice on how to get either of them to enjoy bath time? The water is always warm, no hotter than I would put a newborn in, and I talk and sing the whole time. I try to approach baths like they are the funnest thing in the world, but neither of my beagles are falling for it!

Yes! I have a beagle who LOVES baths! In fact, if ever any of us want a bath for ourselves, we have to remember to close the bathroom door before turning on the water. As soon as he hears the water running, Dexter tries to jump in. How did I managed to get him to do that? When he was little, I used to throw treats into the tub. Then as soon as he jumped in himself, I'd give him another one. Now Dexter is 2yrs old, and I don't have to use any treats at all. Also, if the water is even slightly cold, Dexter jumps out; the hotter the better for him. I gauge according to how hot I! can stand it.

I've been trying the treats with Sierra, as well as toys in the tub. She doesn't fight like she used to, but she still is not fond of baths, either. Dexter looks SO happy to be in the tub! Sierra only just started relaxing enough to sit down this past couple times she got a bath.

Dexter!!! He loves his baths for sure.

My Molly hates baths but she tolerates them. I try to make it fun instead of like she is being commanded to behave. She is easier because she is tiny. Vazzle is a beagle/bassett and does not like the water. We actually take her to a place called Shampoodle, its a do-it-yourself bath place. It has walk in tubs, towels, shampoo, dryers and a clip that hooks to her collar so she can't jump out.
