I recently purchased a Beagle Cocker Spaniel mix. I wanted to ask what you think about this mix and whether she would make a good hunting dog. I would mainly be going for Upland Birds and Rabbits, but if she could retrieve waterfowl that would also be a plus. She is 2 months old and loves to put her nose to the ground and track scent, however I havent put her on any rabbits yet. Any tips/comments/advice etc would be appreciated.

Sounds like she may have the nose for it. The only way to find out is to get her out there on a hunt. Do you have any friends who hunt with Beagles that you could join with your dog?
