You can treat the ringworm with anti-fungal cream for human use , buy it at the grocery store. If dog has long fur you will need to shave or trim this area.

You did not give much information on your dog , however , you need to make sure this is not Demodex mange as the treatment will be different...............

Thanks! That helps me. I am using a lime/sulphur dip and seeing improvement but wanted to make sure there was not something else that I could do as well. Dog is a hound dog - Bloodhound. No long hair....just long ears! :D

jbeckum ,

If the lime sulfur is working , that should do it....

After you have a confirmed diagnosis from your Vet for ringworm , you will find many products that are easy to find and relatively cheap that will work. For example: products that treat yeast infections and athlete's foot will work and a good Antifungal Shampoo For Dogs will help also.

Will it not have any effect if I use human anti fungal cream for my dog? How many times a day should I rub it on the skin?
