I have a 1 year old runs rabbits great. he will hunt alittle but if he cant find me he will bark on my scent till he finds my. i know packing him up would build his skills but he just wants to play when he ses the other dogs. will he grow out of this as he ages.

The short answer is yes. You will need to run him with more experienced hounds when you can as this will build drive and sharpen hunting skills at the same time. Continue to run solo to proof what has been learned. You can also use a drag scent to check out his tracking on days when you want to spend a little time hunting and a lot of time bonding. Always reward/treat and praise for correct behavior.................
