My fiancee got me a puppy for my birthday last january(after 3 years of trying and her saying i'm not a dog person i don't want a dog...Reba has her so wrapped around her paw it isn't funny). It turns out she is a beagle/chihuahua mix. we named her Reba cause she is absolutely gorgeous. She is well loved (some would say spoiled). She is a very good girl and brings tons of laughter and happiness into our home. I've had alot of dogs over the years and never had one that is content to sleep as much as she does. Does anyone know how long Beagles are considered puppies? Is sleeping alot a beagle trait?

I would say a beagle is a puppy until they are about a year old, then they are young adults. They do like to sleep, the more exercise and activity they get the more they will be happy and snoring. Reba sounds like a cutie!
