Hi, I'm Alexis. I 'm 27 years old and am the proud owner of a 20 month old spayed beagle named, Zosephine Delia (Zoey for short). She is my second beagle. My first beagle, Sassy, I got when I was 13 and ended up using her as a show dog in 4H. In two years of showing, we got a 2nd in showmanship, and a 3rd and 4th in grooming (the only show we had was once a year at the local county fair where there could be 100+ entrants in a single class). Unfortunately Sassy developed cushings disease in the fall of 2008 and in January of 2009 she developed complications from the Mitotane she was prescribed, gastroenteritis. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have her euthanized.
Zoey was born January 16, 2009 (my birthday is January 19) and she had a marking on the back of her neck, one way you looked at it, it was a letter 'Z' and flip her around and it looked like an 'S'. I didn't find her under March 1, 2009 and I drove the 8 hour round trip to get her.. She is definitely the typical little hellion beagle that Sassy wasn't! At 20 months old we still are not 100% hour broken, or 100% leash trained, or 100% chew proof! LOL But I still love her and I still love the bred!
