my beagle is 16 months old great runner shot rabbits this year with him great solo runner. hunting is in his blood scratch ankle jeremiah is his father. but he just wants to play around other beagles and he just shuts down how do i get him out of this. my first year training.

Continue to run your male with other hunting Beagles, this will get better in time as your Beag matures. I would think the key will be finding a hard core hunting pack to run him with , so , talk to other hunters in your area to set up a group hunt and run that dog...
