I can't decide whether to brake them to run deer or rabbits, they are 12 wks old and i'm runnin' out of time..........

Phillip ,
You have a big choice to make. From what I have heard it will be a lot easier to start Beagles on rabbit , however , if you start then out as pups on scent rag play along with a couple of deer parts in there pen/run area to get them on that scent you will be off to a good start. After some game play with scent on rag for fun you will be ready to do a couple of scent drags with deer parts and reward big time with call off signal at the end.
I would like to hear how you a doing as you get started with training.

Here we break our beagles FROM running deer! It's illegal to hunt or track deer with dogs in Michigan. A conservation officer can shoot dogs running deer.

In wv people shoot dogs for chasing deer. Both my beagle pups have white tips to.
