I feel like my Sue’s nails have become too long and it’s time to shorten them. But she really doesn’t want me to touch them. If she sees me with a razor blade, she gets all worked up and it’s a hassle for us to get along. Kindly advise me on what to do?

I use clippers from the pet store. It really is helpful to have someone assist you if possible to hold Sue. My 3 all react differently to nail clipping. Molly I hold like a baby and my husband does the cutting. Vazzle gets snippy so we put a soft muzzle on her and let her lick peanut butter off a spoon. You can start by just showing the clippers and give a treat but don't clip. That way they aren't freaked out by the clipper. Some people use those dremel things too and they work well.

You should try an electric grinder. The gradualness of it doesn't freak out my pup as much as the clippers do.

Most important I've found though is treats to make sure it's a positive experience.
