I'm just curious, but how did you come up with the names for your beagles?

Oh my gosh, Casey, yes. I adopted an SPCA beagle, pure bred, and her name was Poochie. I said 'I don't think so' and that night we lied down on the floor and discussed it. We decided on Katie, and she answered to it instantly. Poochie? Geez.

You know, I've never met a dog named Rover or Fido. I've only seen them in the movies, but you know they are out there. If my Katie began as a Poochie, than someone must have a Rover.

I love nicknames. My dogs have a few of those, too, and they definitely respond to them.

It's an unusual name so I like that too. My dogs didn't have unusual names but the important thing is that the name fits.
