Hi all! My name is Cathy and I'm from Oakland, MD. My boyfriend and I have a pack of rabbit beagles that we hunt frequently. A few of those are also dual "house" kids, which include my two girls, Mariah 1 1/2 yrs. old and Madonna, just 3 1/2 months old. While we hunt a lot, we rarely shoot any rabbits. We just love to hear the pack run in full cry and watch them work a line of scent.
I trained Mariah myself and am very proud of her hunting ability. She's a little firecracker on a rabbit. Her little "sister", Madonna, is just now starting to go out on small excusions on the farm with the older beagles and she has shown early interest in tracking.
I also have a Quarter horse gelding that I foxhunt when I can. I trained horses professionally for over 35 yrs. before the wear and tear on my body told me it was time for a change. I am also a free lance artist, mostly specializing in horses and dogs.
I'm looking forward to participating in this forum and getting to "know" ya'll!
