New to bred dogs.. training tips for beagles much needed.

I recently received a beagle, named Cibo, she was 10mos old and a very energetic one. too much energetic if i say so myself. i tried to tire her out by having long walks while trying to make her poop outside but by the moment she enters the house she goes straight to her spot and "do it" there. i adjusted to the situation and placed newspapers there which worked but when i placed the newspapers anywhere else in the house she still does it in the spot she chose and not on the newspaper. she also has a fetish for doormats, where she would grab all the mats and place it in one spot biting and tearing it apart and she likes to grab mops and teddy bears, anything that looks furry. pls help..
