I am aware of the strength. I am between a rock and a hard place as I have a litter of patterdale terriers who have contracted sarcoptic mange. Their dam got it from the stud dog and now some of the pups have some some crusty spots on them that are causing intense itching. These guys are 7 weeks old. I am treating all of my adults, however, I am not sure how to handle the pups. I would hate to let it progress any further. Any ideas?
The very best way to go is Revolution. ( dosed by weight ) Mfg says safe for dogs 6 wk and older. To treat for sarcoptic mange you would treat all dogs every 2 wks and this will cover life cycle of the mite. Make sure no bath for dog/pups 2 days before and 2 days after treatment with Revolution.
What I would do: Buy Revolution large dog package and empty all content into small screw top bottle so you can split up dosing per dog by weight ( using a dosing syringe ) and save $$$.

For itching: BENADRYL(Diphenhydramine):
Benadryl is an antihistamine that helps relieve swellings and itching from allergic reactions and is used long-term to treat allergies. The dose is one milligram for every pound given twice daily.
Use topical anti-biotic ( without steriods ) for skin infection. In case of serious skin infection oral anti-biotics from Vet may be needed...
Clean all bedding and spray the crate and/or living area of dog/pups with a mixtire of 1oz. Prolate to 1 gal water and let dry... This will kill any loose mites on surfaces around your dog/pups.
If I left anything out , or , for some reason this will not work for you please post back...
