Hi all, looking for some advice with my 12 week beagle! He is great at going to bed at night - I'm crate training! But during the night after going out for the toilet he goes back to bed no bother but wants you to sit with him until he falls asleep!

He goes to bed between 10-11 after going out to the toilet and wakes about 3ish!

He's in the kitchen with a radio on low and his crate has a pillow, blanket and his cuddly toy...

I don't know what else to do... Any suggestions?

He should grow out of it however beagles really love to be with the family. My three all sleep in the bedroom with us. Does he have to go pee at 3 am or he is just crying for you? If he is crying, you can just try to ignore him. Everytime you go to him, he knows he can cry and you will come in the kitchen.

You need to be patient with him on this one. Although at 12 weeks is a bit old, some beagles are slow to learn. So, don't rush him.
