I am wondering if anyone can give me some pointers to help me with training my pup. I am currently deployed and I've my wife trying to training my pup but she is having a hard time with my pup Kyia not listening to her. I am hoping that she will have her trained by Oct for cottontail in WI when I get home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Im in that process to. Beagles are hyper and it takes time .and patience. She needs to start with a rag or sock with rabbit scent on it let the pup get used to the smell. Im sure more people know more than me but ive learned that much.

I would try a tennis ball with rabbit scent on it.

Leash training

I've had many dogs, but never had as much trouble leash training a dog as with my first beagle. She pulls so hard I've had to resort to a choker chain, which I don't like to use, but she's still trying to rip off my arm. She gasps and wheezes, but won't quit especially when we're heading back home. I'm afraid she's going to hurt herself. Any ideas?
