This is all new to me, as it is my first beagle. I keep her in the house , is this wrong? I have a 5 yr old bird dog mix (little river duckdog / golden retriever) with no hunting skills. He is a family member and Bella ( 10 weeks old) follows him around exactly like a puppy dog. Bella is not exactly a pure bred, she is also a mix. Yorkie and basset hound , both parents are very much pure breds that happen to mate by accident. I have taken Bella on walks through the wooded areas that have rabbit trails. I even have let her tag along with the her pure bred mother who is an avid hunter. what is next?

There is nothing wrong with Bella being an inside dog and family member. For a 10 week old dog I would work on basic obedience ( sit , down , stay and a strong recall ) as this will serve as the building blocks for all future training work. You will need to wait and see how much natural hunt drive she has and decide if you want to encourage this trait. Post some pics when you have time.
