Hello all, my name is Tasha and I recently acquired an 8 week old Beagleboy I named Bailey. Before you ask, yes I got him from a BYB thats a coworker of mine. She had too many and not enough time so he was given to me. I already own an 8year old APBT and a 5 yearold APBT, so a new beagle puppy is pretty much out the blue,but I figured I could handle it. He's been with me for almost a week and he has more energy than Lucky(5yearold APBT). I openly admit to knowing absolutely nothing about beagles other than them being hounds, so any new beagle puppy tips or website recs with good advice would be highly appreciated. Hello Baileysmom ,

Welcome to the forum. New beagle will need some basic obedience work to get things started off on the right foot. One thing to work on first is a good recall.
A beagle should be in a fenced yard or the will tend to follow their nose and wonder off. For training advice post to the training forum or pm me,
